Everyone has a dark past, and we only manage to make sufficient progress by understanding our past and reflecting on where we went wrong in the first place. In the past decades, a couple of decisions and controversial agreements led to an almost destruction of the world as we know it. One of these cases was the emergence of Nuclear warfare and the European economic depression. We will only manage to avoid future disasters through careful analysis of these past events. There are a couple of recent challenges that we must se riously look into to prevent any re-emergence in the future.One factor of primary concern is past war escapades. The side-effects of the history of the recent war altercations still haunt us today. History clearly shows the factors that led to the upsurge of the two World wars and how our predecessors handled it. It also displays the type of warfare machinery used and how catastrophic some of the armories can be when used on civilians. A background check on the beneficiaries of these wars also shows the real purpose behind many States involvement in the war. Hiroshima and Vietnam War comes as a lesson to us all, and we can only prevent future disasters through studying history.Civilian security is another issue of notable concern. Many sectors such as tourism depend on the safety of that region. History shows how such calamities came to be; exactly what motivated foreign terrorist invasion. In the United States, for example, terror attacks heightened with the alleged involvement of Arabian states by American military personnel. These factors will help to understand the logic between these attacks and how to avoid them in the nearby future.Times have changed; economies have become more complex to control effectively. Many leaders feel threatened by any impending inflation or depression. Recent economic and financial disasters have been detrimental to many regions. Of course, the results of many weak economic decisions are alarming. In fact, events such as the great depression in 1929 clearly show how catastrophic such a phenomenon can be to an economy (Patricia). It resulted in massive unemployment, increase in poverty, collapsing of financial institutions, and consequently, increase in crime. History analyzes these misfortunes and explains the way leaders of these nations manage to get out of this predicament.
